Report on Ordinance of 1897.

I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled "The Ordinance to amend Protection of Women and Girls Ordinance, 1897," and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions.

Objects and Reasons.

This Ordinance is passed to amend "The Protection of Women and Girls Ordinance, 1897," in several particulars which have been brought to the attention of the Colonial Government by Secretary of State.

The

Section 1 gives the short title of the Ordinance.
